Imagine you just got married to a Federal Supervisory Law Enforcement Officer who is one of the many who believe in the integrity of the oath that they took “to protect and to serve”.  And because of his belief he cannot just stand idly by when he sees it being compromised on a daily basis in his place of work.

Imagine his frustration and surprise, initially, when his rightful complaints filed through the proper channels, instead of being investigated, were being handed back down to the very people who were the ones who made a mockery of the oath and the mission of the agency.

Imagine 4 months after marrying this man, he becomes the subject of an (administrative) investigation during which the “impartial” special agent interrogates him as if this was a criminal case.  (I have seen the tapes and I could not believe this man was subjected to!  Oh, and let me mention the part at the end of the tape and after the interview, where the “impartial” investigator forgets that the tape is still running, slams his notebook down and says: “I hate that dick! I can’t believe he is this fucking stupid!” Yes, Siree! I am not making this up!)

Imagine, 8 MONTHS after the conclusion of the “investigation” your husband gets presented with a “Notice of Proposed Removal”  (pending termination) with allegations of “Lack of Candor” (lying).  He is given one opportunity to present a rebuttal to the charges to the deciding “impartial” official who is at the opposite side of the country,  one month later during a phone conversation.

Imagine, that you had been presented with a copy of collected “evidence”  (some of it you received as an oversight), audio files and DVD(s)  of the interrogation of your husband and as you read through it, page by page, you slowly discover more and more inconsistencies.  What you originally attributed to sloppiness in the investigation quickly turns into the realization that this was a deliberate and systematic process which included (but was not limited to) falsifications of documents, falsification of the time line, a pre-dated signed affidavit by the highest ranking official for the western states, , witnesses statements being misrepresented in the Special Agent’s final report, e-mails which had completely disappeared (the transmittal show they had been submitted), e-mails which were mixed into another witness’ exhibits, e-mails from one witness printed out under another witnesses e-mail account header, key witness not being interviewed at all, and high ranking staff who contributed nothing, but were included to bolster the number of “witnesses”.  I could go on and on…

Imagine, that despite the fact that your husband had done nothing wrong, and you have gathered all the evidence to prove his innocence, you still need to hire an attorney to the tune of thousands of dollars with money you don’t have, to submit all this information in an appropriate format to the deciding official.

Imagine, that during your research you come across the public court records of another (former)  employee in a very similar situation as your husband, with the same setup which includes high ranking official, Special Agent and the deciding “impartial” official  and you finally fully realize

Your husband is a whistleblower and he has been set up!!!

Imagine, that your husband finally got terminated 7 MONTHS after being put on administrative leave when the “impartial” deciding official (one person, not a board!) declares the evidence you so painstakingly had pieced together, to be an “aggravating” rather than a mitigating factor in his final decision of your husband’s removal from service, ending a career with an impeccable service record in federal law enforcement service of 19.5 years !!! You later find out, that this “impartial” official was chosen by the not so impartial highest ranking official in the western states  who has everything at stake to see your husband removed.

Imagine, realizing that your dear husband, a man who has always been known by his peers for his integrity, is being told by the very people who make a mockery of the virtue of integrity, that he can no longer be in law enforcement because he cannot be trusted with the welfare of the people!?!!!

ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME?

Imagine  Edmund Burke’s quote “All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing ” being the inspiration for one man (and his wifee)  to take a stand and expose the corrupt elements which make a mockery of the law enforcement mission “to Protect and to Serve”.

And then, finally, imagine, that evil will NOT prevail!!!

But of course, this is all just imagination. Or is it?
